  The Pastor of my Old Church Tried to Re-Convert Me Yesterday

  yesterday evening my wife and i were invited to friends house for new year's eve.

  we met them when i was a christian and we have kept in touch.

  they had a few other friends there as well, including the new church pastor and his wife.

  we met up with cantleave and nugget yesterday.

  our team thrashed cantleave at cards, we are the champions!!!

  nugget cooked wonderful chicken jelfrazi and tandori, it was yum yum.. have you had any good xjw meetups from guys here on jwn?.

  What a great first Christmas!

  what a great day!.

  once the kids were in bed, i set up my daughters new kitchen play set took me a little over 2 hours but was fun.

  this morning we came down stairs and the joy on my kids faces and the wow!

  OK - I've had it - My letter to the KH

  the whole time i lived in colorado, i had the dubs come by once and leave a tract.

  but since moving to california, they are at my door so often i asked them to put me on the "do not call" list.

  this did not stop them, in fact i have asked four times, plus once i called the kingdom hall and left a message, they still come, the last time this past saturday.

  When I sent my letter, I threatened them with the police if they trespassed on my property, and hung windchimes, and a smurf, outside my door. It worked! Good luck and I hope they leave you in peace now xxxx You are in control, you do not have to answer the door if they come knocking. x

  LOTS of JW books in local charity shop.......

  went to my local charity shop the other day and while i was looking through the books, i happened upon at least 7 books (the name escapes me) that only elders use, several nwt bibles, and many other books, (paradise book?

  ) plus the smaller books, questions young people ask etc.

  in total, i counted at least 80 jw books/bibles.

  Went to my local charity shop the other day and while I was looking through the books, I happened upon at least 7 books (the name escapes me) that only elders use, several NWT Bibles, and many other books, (Paradise book?) plus the smaller books, questions young people ask etc. In total, I counted at least 80 JW books/bibles. Now, I think the total number of books in the shop come to maybe 150.....

  First reaction......smiles to self, ahhhhh! People are waking up and getting rid.

  Second and much slower reaction that hit me several hours later......these books are out there to buy.

  Idea......run to shop and ask the kindly lady behind the counter in a casual manner "How much for all the JW literature?"......"Call it ten pounds for the lot" she replies. Check purse. Have a total of £6.50 in there, and locate a random £1 coin in bra. (along with a lighter and a some crisps).....start sweating......"Can I leave a deposit of £7.50 and pay the balance tommorow?"...................No can do. Can anyone lend me £2.50???
